A warm welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences! How does it feel to soon start your new job as head of the Faculty Office?

It’s exciting to be given responsibility for such an important organisation. Since I like to meet new people, I am also very much looking forward to meeting all the new colleagues that I will spend a large part of my waking hours with.

What is your background?
I have a Ph.D. in Sociology of Law and have been a post-doc at Skanska Sverige AB through the Flexit program. Since then, I have been Head of Sustainability in a medium-sized municipality in Skåne, and most recently Head of Regional Planning at Region Skåne with the responsibility for regional physical planning, designed living environment and housing supply issues in Skåne.

Why did you apply for this job at Lund University and is there any commitment in your professional life that you want to continue to develop within the position?

I saw a great opportunity to develop as a manager and leader in the position of Head of Faculty Office while contributing to research and education. I am excited to return to Lund University in a new role and with all the knowledge that I have gained from being a leader in the public sector. My commitment to contribute to sustainable social development can be made in so many ways, and the social sciences are central to that transition.

Tell us some more interesting facts about yourself!
