Professional development abroad
For staff at the Faculty of Social Sciences
Take the opportunity to develop professionally and personally! Professional development abroad is available to all employees at Lund University i.e. technical/administrative staff, researchers, teaching staff and doctoral students. The most extensive programme for staff mobility is Erasmus+.
Erasmus+ Staff Training
All staff members can receive funding for job shadowing – taking part, for example, in the regular work at a partner university, company or organisation. You can also receive a grant for study visits and participation in courses, seminars or workshops with a clear connection to your work. If, for example, you wish to participate in a Staff Training Week somewhere in Europe, you can search for a relevant activity on the EU website.

EAIE (European Association for International Education) also organises courses on various topics.
Application period
Applications will be reviewed during the following periods:
- 1 September to 15 December
- 15 January to 30 June
It can take up to two weeks to receive formal approval of Erasmus+ funding. Therefore, please submit your application in good time before the activity/mobility starts.

Erasmus+ teaching staff mobility
Teaching staff, researchers and doctoral students can receive funding for teaching, lectures, seminars, supervision and examinations at a partner university in Europe.
The International Office at the faculty will guide you in the process.
Before applying, you need to check that there is an agreement for teaching staff mobility between the faculty and the higher education institution that you are applying to visit. If there is no valid agreement, contact the International Office at the faculty and discuss the possibility of drafting an agreement. The International Office is also there to guide you in the application process.
Length of stay
The stay must include a minimum of 2 working days and a minimum of 8 teaching hours. For longer periods, a minimum of 8 teaching hours per week applies. The maximum period granted is normally 2–3 weeks.
There is no deadline for applications for teaching staff mobility. Applications are processed as they are received. Remember to apply for scholarship funding in good time before you depart, preferably at least one month in advance.
