At Lund University, we shall process personal data in accordance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swedish Data Protection Act. On this page you will find information, advice and support for the processing of personal data within the faculty.

Support and guidance on how personal data processing should be carried out in the daily work can be found on Lund University's staff pages. Here you will find, for example, information on how to manage a security breach involving personal data, data processing agreements and information on how to handle your e-mail. You will also find information regarding legislation (GDPR) and data protection in specific areas, such as human resources or education.

Online courses

It is important that all employees are familiar with the data protection regulations. A good way to get started is to take the online internal training courses offered via the Kompetensportalen.

Operational support

The Faculty of Social Sciences has two data protection coordinators who coordinate the faculty's work on personal data management and cooperate with Lund University’s data protection coordinator. See contact box for more information.
