By-election: nominate candidates to the Faculty Board

The by-election is for a member of the Faculty Board for the period 1 January 2024 - 31 December 2026. All faculty staff entitled to vote and nominate are invited to nominate candidates by 25 October.

Åsa Lundqvist has been offered and accepted the position of vice-dean for research and doctoral studies. This means that she will leave her position as a member of the Faculty Board. The Nomination Committee has therefore been tasked with proposing a new candidate. Given that the election was held in September, there is already a list of nominations, but all those entitled to vote and nominate are hereby given the opportunity to submit additional nominations.

Please note that there is a short deadline to ensure that the new candidate can be elected before the term of office begins.

Entitled to vote and nominate are employees of Lund University who are employed at the Faculty of Social Sciences until further notice, or for a continuous period of at least two years and whose employment is equal to at least 50 per cent of full-time. Holders of doctoral studentships are not entitled to vote or nominate as they are regarded as students in this context.

The nominee must have been asked and accepted the nomination. Nominating oneself is permitted.

Nominations are to be sent to valberedning [at] sam [dot] lu [dot] se no later than 25 October 2023, together with a short justification.

A list of previously elected members can be found in the election results from September.
