Creative Methodologies and Creative Writing: A Participatory Workshop
The Lund Social Science Methods Centre invites you to a workshop on creative methodologies and creative writing with Yvonne Jewkes from University of Bath.
Below you will find more information and a link to register.
About the workshop
This workshop on creative writing and creative methods will be run by Yvonne Jewkes who is co-founder (with Andy West) of Freedom to Write. They are also Writers in Residence at HMP Grendon. Their mission is to help writers and academics to find their most engaging voice, so that their ideas can reach a wider audience.
If you want to find ways to communicate your ideas more powerfully, or write up your research for a general audience, or simply explore more of the personal in your work, Yvonne will show you how. She will also talk about her personal experience using creative research methods in prisons and how they have enabled her to access ‘data’ that would not have been revealed using more conventional methodologies.
The workshop will include short writing prompt exercises and sharing of our writing with the group, as well as some tutoring and guidance on the craft of writing and communicating effectively.
Register for the Workshop
Please register here before 12 May if you want to attend.
