The building project and the process

The building project is carried out on behalf of Akademiska Hus, in cooperation with LU Estates.

The building project’s stages

The project consists of three stages:

Stage 1 (completed in 2013/14)

Renovation and extension of H Buildin (Eden), including the relocation of the Department of Political Science’s library to the Faculty of Social Sciences’ library in J Building.

Stage 2 (completed in 2019)

Renovation and extension of I Building (Gamla Köket), allowing for the School of Social Work to be located in the same building.

Stage 3 (ongoing)

Part 1: Renovation of G Building and the construction of a centre for social sciences.

Part 2: Renovation of P Building, R Building (Gamla Kirurgen) and P Building (Gamla Barnsjukhuset).
