Teaching Academy

The faculty’s Teaching Academy is a means to promote teaching expertise and stimulate continued teaching development. As a permanently employed member of the teaching staff, you can apply to have your teaching qualifications assessed and be admitted to the Teaching Academy as a Qualified Teaching Practitioner (QTP) or Excellent Teaching Practitioner (ETP).

Applications

Yearly recurring deadline for applications to the Teaching Academy is 15 September.

Applications must include:

  • Teaching portfolio
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Recommendation from Head of Department
  • Certificate of completed discussions with two colleagues

How to write a teaching portfolio 

Teaching portfolio is an elective course open to teachers and staff with teaching assignments at Lund University. It is offered by AHU as a support for those who want to develop an account of their pedagogical competence and merits. The course is given every spring semester.

Assessment of teaching skills

Teaching skills will be assessed with reference to two levels:

  • QTP, Qualified Teaching Practitioner
  • ETP, Excellent Teaching Practitioner

The assessment is based on certain criterias:
