Honorary Doctors' Seminar 2023: Threats to Democracy
Meet our honorary doctors 2023, Mimi Abramovitz and Leonie Huddy, in a seminar on threats to democracy. After the seminar you are welcome to stay for a mingle with drinks and light snacks.
Mimi Abramovitz from the Silberman School of Social Work, Hunter College, City University of New York is the Bertha Capen Reynolds Professor of Social Policy. She has extensively analyzed the welfare state from the perspective of women, as well as welfare state activism among poor and working-class women.
Leonie Huddy is a Professor of Political Science at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. She is a specialist in the field of political psychology and over the years her research has covered issues relating to identity, gender and race.
