Reluctant Visibility and the Challenges of Studying Hate Online

Lund Social Science Methods Centre together with Mathilda Åkerlund from University of Gothenburg, invites you to a seminar in which we look into the reluctant visibility and the challenges of studying hate online.
In this presentation, Mathilda will discuss research in far-right, conspiracy theorist, and incels settings online, including some of the main challenges that she faces when it comes to ethics, access, data collection and analysis, and her own visibility.
