New transcription tool for researchers

The Sunet Scribe service enables researchers at Lund University to digitally transcribe research data in the form of audio and video files. Transcription support is available in several languages.

The service is approved for use with research data containing sensitive personal information – the data is encrypted during all transfers and the information is not stored by Sunet after transcription. As a researcher/client, you are responsible for the content to be transcribed and for ensuring that it is stored securely after transcription.

To use the service, you must be employed as a researcher at Lund University and have a Lucat ID.

To get started, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://scribe.sunet.se and click on “Login with SSO”. Try to log in with your Lucat ID and FrejaID. You will receive the message ‘You must ask your administrator for access before you can log in’.
  2. This will be sent to the Research Data Unit, which will verify that you are authorised to use the system and activate your user account as soon as possible. You will receive a confirmation email from them that your account has been activated.
  3. Once you have been notified that your account has been activated, you can log in to the service via https://scribe.sunet.se. You log in with SSO (Lucat ID) and FrejaID.
