At the majority of departments, the current Head of Department/Director will continue for an additional term. At the School of Social Work, the Sociology of Law Department and the Department of Psychology, new Heads of Department will take up their roles.
The following persons have been appointed:

- Anna Sonander, Head of Department, Sociology of Law Department
- Tobias Linné, Head of Department, Department of Communication
- Barry Ness, Director, Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS)
- Sandra Jönsson, Head of Department, Department of Sociology
- Kristina Jönsson, Head of Department, Department of Political Science
- Malin Zillinger, Head of Department, Department of Service Studies
- Lupita Svensson, Head of Department, School of Social Work
- Simon Granér, Head of Department, Department of Psychology
The Heads of Department will take up their posts on 1 January 2027 and will continue to lead and develop their departments’ activities in education, research and external engagement during the new term of office.
