INSTÄLLT: Collaboration-Oriented Research and Funding: A Formas Perspective

Formas will be visiting the Faculty of Social Sciences, and all staff are warmly invited to a seminar focusing on collaborative research with public, private, and civil society actors.

The seminar will open with a presentation by Josefin Wangel from Formas, who will introduce the mission of Formas and explain how it is translated into practice through different funding calls and other “instruments”.

The seminar will also include a discussion on topics such as:

  • What Formas means by collaboration-oriented research
  • How collaboration-focused calls are formulated and what is required to be competitive
  • Key characteristics of high-quality collaboration
  • Expectations regarding societal impact, timeframes, and implementation

The seminar is intended to support researchers interested in applying for Formas funding and to encourage reflection on the opportunities and challenges of collaboration-oriented research.
