Tvärvetenskaplig doktorandkonferens om Computational Thinking
Välkommen till en halvdags tvärvetenskaplig konferens för doktorander om Computational Thinking vid Lunds universitet!
Konferensen hålls på engelska.
This conference brings together doctoral students from different faculties at Lund University who engage with computational approaches in their research. The aim is to create a shared space for learning and discussion, and to exchange computational thinking as a core research practice across disciplinary boundaries.
Computational thinking is understood broadly as the ability to formulate research problems for computational analysis, work with abstraction and models, and critically apply computational methods to diverse academic fields. The conference promotes interdisciplinary dialogue and aims to strengthen a growing community of PhD students working with computational methods.
Registration opens on 1 February 2026.
We also invite PhD students to contribute to the conference with their flavor of computational research. Each talk is 8 minutes with 2 additional minutes for questions, should focus on the computational aspect of research and should be comprehensible for someone who is not in their own field, but with an interest in computational methods. Submit a title and abstract (max 300 words) to ullrika [dot] sahlin [at] mgeo [dot] lu [dot] se (ullrika[dot]sahlin[at]mgeo[dot]lu[dot]se) before 30 January 2026.
