Welcome to a film screening of the documentary Karuara, People of the River on March 20. After the film screening there will be a panel discussion with the filmmakers Stephanie Boyd and Miguel Araoz as well as researchers from LUCSUS and Raoul Wallenberg Institute.  

About the film: 

Beneath the waters of Peru's Amazon lies a world of spirits led by the Karuara, the 'people of the river'. A brave Indigenous woman and her family confront powerful interests to save their river and these sacred beings.

The event is organised by Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS) and Raoul Wallenberg Institute

The film screening is open for everyone. No registration needed!
