CMES-seminarium: Den turkiska utrikespolitikens omvandling och den svenska NATO-ansökan

Abstract
Why is Turkey blocking a strategically important enlargement of the alliance that it has been a member of since 1952? This talk puts Ankara’s veto on Sweden’s application to join NATO in the context of a broader transformation of Turkish foreign and security policy over the last 20 years.
Biographical Note
Paul T. Levin is the founding Director of the Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies and Managing Director of the Consortium for European Symposia on Turkey. A frequent commentator on Turkish affairs in Swedish and international media, he regularly publishes scholarly works, policy pieces, and popular commentaries on Turkish politics and foreign policy. Paul is a Docent in International Relations and holds a Ph.D. in the same subject from the University of Southern California.
