Introduction to quantitative methods

This course is an introductory course in quantitative methods available to doctoral students. The course will also be open to master students and other staff at the faculty who want to improve their knowledge in this area, e.g. in order to be able to teach quantitative methods courses or supervise students using quantitative methods in their thesis.

Spring 2023: 22 March - 26 April
Application deadline: 5 February 2023

This course is now closed for application for the Spring Term.

The course will focus on

  1. performing basic statistical analysis (of secondary data, using SPSS) and
  2. comprehending and evaluating scientific papers based on quantitative methods (with focus on the participants own areas of research). The course will be given in English and does not presume any previous knowledge of statistics.

The course is open to doctoral students, master’s students and teaching staff.
