Pedagogical development seminar series

All teachers and PhD students at the faculty are invited to join the Faculty of Social Sciences’ seminar series on “Expanding capacity to explore, share and communicate differences in the classroom”.

How can we understand conflicts in teaching and learning situations? How can we work with them in a constructive and generative way? These are central questions to all teaching in higher education, that have received growing attention. Therefore, the faculty, through a group of teachers from different departments, have created this seminar series to offer spaces for discussion and for practical explorations of difficult classroom situations.

During the spring term 2022 the following seminars are planned:

1. Classroom as contested space

Arlette Garduño (former student) and Marta Kolankiewicz (Department of Gender Studies).
21 April, 9:15-12:00
More information in the internal calendar

2. To explore and integrate differences in the classroom dialogue

Johan Bertlett and Robert Holmberg (both Department of Psychology).
23 May, 9:15-12:00
More information in the internal calendar
