The quality of education

At the Faculty of Social Sciences, we work continuously to ensure and enhance the quality of our courses and programmes in the following ways.

Course evaluations and course evaluation reports

After each course, students have the opportunity to complete a course evaluation through which opinions on the course can be given anonymously.

The lecturer responsible for the course then draws up a course evaluation report, i.e. a written evaluation based on the results of the students’ course evaluations as well as their own reflections on the implementation of the course.

Programme evaluation

All first, second and third cycle degree programmes are evaluated in a six-year cycle. The aim is to continuously improve the quality of our courses and programmes.

Complaints about your education

Do you have a complaint about your first or second cycle education? The Faculty of Social Sciences in cooperation with the Social Sciences Student Union has drawn up a procedure with information about who to contact.

Teaching Academy for enhancing the quality of education

The faculty has a Teaching Academy that works to promote development in teaching. The overall aim of the academy’s activities is to further enhance the quality of our education by clarifying criteria for teaching expertise and, based on this, assess and recognise teaching expertise.
